Artist Statement
I set out to make unique illustrations, portraiture and art with very modern influences such as comic books, pop culture and 80’s 90’s era animation but with very classic adherence to phi, and an intentional radical color theory. It’s all about bending light and reality into something gaudy executed elegantly. My color inspirations range from the pre-Raphaelite brotherhood, the original explosive color of marble Greek statues, and the cutting black line work of comic books.
